Morphlabs Costume Wizards - Mark Rober
Mark is the leader of all the Morph Costume Wizards.
In 2011 Mark created a Halloween costume featuring two iPads connected through a FaceTime video chat that made it look like he had a hole blown through his stomach. People really seemed to like the idea at his Halloween party so his wife filmed it on her phone and they uploaded it to YouTube.
When they woke up the next morning the video already had 1 million views and they were featured on front page of CNN. People loved the idea but complained $1200 was a steep price tag for a Halloween costume which led him to come up with a less expensive way to combine technology with apparel.
After a full year of working nights and weekends with a couple of buddies, Digital Dudz was officially launched and that video actually went more viral than the first one.
